Starting off the new year with pretty much the same goals as last year. I finished off the year in a bad way as I hurt my knee and ankle so didn't train for the last 3 weeks of the year or the first week of this year. That said I managed to loose around 7kgs to get my weight down to 95kgs (I put 3 Kgs back on!!!).
This year I have not been able to train either due to my knee and also the fact that we have moved from Brasil back to the UK and I have been setting up my house.
The good news is that I am walking loads more as I haven't bought a car yet and also we live in a town where everything is within walking distance.
Also due to the change in temperature my son is loving walking in the cold for some strange reason.
I have also bought us both bikes and we are planning to ride at least twice a week together as we have a canal close to our new house which is grat for him to ride as it is more or less flat.
Yesterday we did a test ride and we rode for 45.16 minutes and rode 4.3 miles and climbed a lofty 67ft.
My son starts school tomorrow so I will make the most of the free time and go for another ride along the canal to see how long it takes to get to the next town. I then plan to do this ride every morning after I have dropped my son off at school to drop the weight that I have put on.
I worked out that the next town is around 11 miles from my house so I will be doing 22 miles a day so the weight should drop off.
For my new years resolution I have cut out all fizzy drinks and it has been fine for the past 7 days with no problems. I was stopping crisps as well but yesterday I succumbed to eating crisps. I have had a packet today as well so I am going to let the crisps slide until next month once the fizzy drink cravings have stopped.
